Who we are

TheVentureCity is a global early stage venture platform focused on making the entrepreneurial ecosystem more diverse, grounded in data, and fairly funded. Our team is made up of entrepreneurs, hyper-growth tech company executives, and operators who are committed to supporting founders in their journeys to build sustainable companies through product-led growth. We manage three funding vehicles among them a pre-seed and seed investment vehicle where we focus on being the first institutional ticket. ‍ In Seed we have invested in 79 early-stage pre-seed and seed startups. We know capital is not enough. We become an extended part of the each of the companies in which we invest and provide 1:1 support rooted in product led growth for 3 months. After this initial period, we continue supporting our companies through to exit with our in-house experts as well as with our +500 mentor and alumni network. ‍ We are headquartered in Miami and Madrid however this internship will be based in Miami, US. This is a 6 month paid internship.

‍ What you will do ‍ This internship will consist of working primarily with the Seed Investments team within TheVentureCity, which focuses on helping software startups grow through a very exclusive, tailor made product-led growth approach. ‍ The intern will assist in the evaluation and selection process of startups, preparation and scheduling for Onboarding Week of new startups into our Seed + Product-Led Growth Support, search for new partnerships/benefits for our portfolio of startups, and follow-up with the startups that we are with for required information. ‍ Projects can range from collecting and organizing quarterly portfolio review information from our startups, conducting research, creating proposals/presentations, assisting with event planning and execution, performing benchmark analysis, and more. ‍

Who we are looking for ‍ We are looking for an intern that is enthusiastic, confident, builder, fixer, problem solver, optimist at heart that likes to deal with people. As this role is remote, the perfect person for this internship will be great at managing their own time, resourceful to look things up when they are stuck, not be afraid to ask for help, flexible, and be proactive.

This person should have basic Excel skills, familiarity with social media platforms, great organizational skills, attention to detail, and an interest in venture capital and startups. We expect deep interest in technology and tech companies. Must speak English. Spanish is a plus.

‍ What we offer ‍ This is a full-time internship, Monday to Friday. Commitment will be 6 months provided that objectives and expectations are met on both sides. Details will be discussed during the interview. The internship will be paid and will offer the opportunity for course credit in case the university allows.
