Spike Technologies is looking for an experienced ML Engineer to join our team in building cutting-edge multimodal AI product for healthcare. You will be responsible for developing a constellation of AI agents that will work together to solve the problem of hospital readmissions for chronic diseases and make a positive impact on the lives of millions of patients. You’ll be working with static data from EHRs, dynamic data from wearables and medical IoT devices, secure RAG AI, Speech to Text and Text to Speech technologies, Graphs and more. You will work alongside scientists and engineers to reduce the likelihood of hallucinations, optimize latencies and pricing for real time conversations and more exciting challenges. You will be able to contribute to scientific research process with our in-house scientists team, publishing papers in the Health AI space and pushing the SOTA in the field.

Responsibilities:

• Develop our in-house LLM experimentation infrastructure
• Develop fully HIPAA-compliant agents, utilizing OS LLMs
• Optimize retrieval speed and quality from private databases (NOSQL, SQL, and vector)

Qualifications:

• Experience training, serving, and monitoring NLP models
• 5+ years of experience in ML Engineering / Data Science
• Experience with PyTorch or other ML libraries
• Experience working with client/server systems, distributed systems, and cloud providers
• Good knowledge of relational, NOSQL and vector databases
• Experience rolling LLM-based applications to production
• Ability to move fast in line with Spike’s culture

Good to have:

• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience developing scalable APIs
• Experience in building ETLs
• Expertise in developing and releasing algorithms for ML applications in production
• Familiarity with cloud deployment and scaling
• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
