The Opportunity

As our Director of Internal Communications, you'll lead a holistic internal communications strategy that ensures clarity, transparency, and alignment across our global workforce. This role is critical in helping employees understand and connect with company strategy, business priorities, and cultural evolution.

In addition to owning core internal communications, this leader will play a key role in supporting M&A integration communications in close partnership with the Chief Strategy Officer and the IMO. This role ensures that employees understand changes, are aligned with the vision, and have clear, consistent updates throughout transitions.

You will also lead change management communications, ensuring that employees remain engaged, informed, and supported through organizational transformations, leadership changes, and process shifts. Finally, you will develop scalable structures for internal communications that ensure visibility, prioritization, and alignment across teams and leaders.

If you thrive in fast-paced, transformation-driven environments, excel at navigating complexity during times of change, and can drive clarity and engagement at scale, this role is for you!

Here's some more areas of responsibilities:

Develop & Lead an Integrated Internal Communications Strategy:

  • Build and implement a comprehensive internal communications framework that ensures clear, effective, and consistent messaging across the organization.

  • Create a structure that enables visibility, prioritization, and alignment on company strategy, key initiatives, and leadership priorities.

  • Own the narrative and cadence of internal company-wide communications, ensuring alignment with business transformation, growth, and cultural initiatives.

  • Establish and optimize multi-channel communication strategies (email, Slack, intranet, video, town halls) to enhance engagement and reach.

Drive Communications for M&A Integration & Change Management:

  • Partner closely with the CSO and IMO to support the internal communications strategy for M&A integration, ensuring clear and timely messaging for employees.

  • Develop and execute change management communications to support employees through organizational transitions, leadership changes, restructuring, and process shifts.

  • Help employees navigate change with clarity, ensuring they understand the why, what, and how behind company decisions.

  • Identify potential communication gaps or risks and proactively address them through transparent messaging and feedback loops.

Executive & Leadership Communications:

  • Support senior leaders in crafting compelling messages that drive employee engagement and reinforce strategic priorities.

  • Manage and elevate leadership visibility, including scripting for town halls, executive updates, and AMAs.

  • Develop communication playbooks and guidance for leaders across functions to help them communicate effectively with their teams.

Enhancing Culture & Engagement Through Communications:

  • Partner closely with People, DEIB, and Workplace teams to bring culture to life through storytelling and engagement initiatives.

  • Own and evolve U-Connect (or similar employee engagement programs) to foster company-wide connection and alignment.

  • Build frameworks for employee listening, feedback loops, and two-way communication channels that promote transparency and trust.

Cross-Functional Coordination & Strategic Alignment:

  • Establish clear communication governance—ensuring that business-critical updates are delivered in a structured, predictable way across teams.

  • Develop mechanisms for prioritization and sequencing of company-wide communications, preventing information overload and ensuring alignment.

  • Work cross-functionally to connect the dots between product, operations, finance, HR, GTM, and other functions, ensuring employees have a clear understanding of company objectives.

  • Track and measure the effectiveness of internal communications, leveraging analytics and feedback to continuously improve engagement and impact.

What we’re looking for

  • Strategic mindset & program management expertise – You excel at designing and executing scalable, high-impact communication strategies that align with business goals and company culture.

  • Exceptional writing & storytelling skills – You craft compelling, concise messages that resonate with employees and drive engagement.

  • Strong executive presence & verbal communication – You’re confident working with senior leaders, advising on communication strategy, and ensuring alignment across the company.

  • Tech-savvy & platform fluent – Comfortable leveraging a variety of communication tools (e.g., Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Confluence) to reach employees where they are.

  • Excellent program & stakeholder management – You can orchestrate cross-functional initiatives, working seamlessly with HR, executive leadership, marketing, IT, and other teams.

  • Change management expertise – You know how to navigate sensitive topics, communicate complex changes, and ensure employees feel informed and engaged.

  • Data-driven approach – You track engagement metrics, analyze impact, and continuously optimize communication strategies to enhance effectiveness.
