They are pivoting to focus on instant payments and are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join the team.Responsibilities:- Participate in the full software lifecycle from discovery and design to development and deployment, owning work end to end.- Break down large features into smaller tasks and estimate scope pragmatically.- Write robust, maintainable code with strong test coverage.- Spend time each month helping the Ops team to better understand the product and its operational complexity.- Perform peer reviews to ensure high-quality output and shared learning.How they work: A mix of Kanban and Scrum with 2‑week sprints; tasks managed on a Jira board; daily meetings for updates and blockers; emphasis on Continuous Delivery and CI/CD; communication mainly async via Slack. The backend is moving from a classic Rails setup toward a modular monolith, with multiple APIs and custom integrations, and connections to financial systems for real-time money movement.Schedule: Flexible working hours with a daily sync just after lunch (availability roughly 12:00–16:00 CEST; typical team availability 06:00–21:00). Full-time, 22 vacation days.Location: 100% remote. Candidates should be in a UTC ±2 time zone.
