Their first product is a scalable and simple API that allows any company to send and receive instant payments — a business bank account you can programmatically use in real-time. We’re looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join the team, embrace this vision, and help build life‑improving services for companies. How you’ll work (process & culture):- Practices from Kanban and Scrum with a focus on Continuous Delivery; 2‑week sprints; tasks tracked in Jira; developers pick tasks if free; daily meeting for updates and blockers.- Core moving from classic Rails to a modular monolith; multiple APIs and custom integrations; real‑time money movements.- CI/CD at the core with custom pipelines; communication mostly async on Slack; encourage feedback and autonomy. Schedule (Horario):- Flexible schedule. Daily sync just after lunch (14:00–15:00 CEST). Be available at least 12:00–16:00; typical availability window 06:00–21:00. Where you’ll work (Dónde):- This position is 100% remote. Candidates should be within UTC ±2 hours for easier scheduling. Quarterly offsites for in‑person meetups. Requirements (Qué piden):- You can communicate well in English, both orally and in writing (English used for documentation and peer review).- Good understanding of software principles; you’ll work with Ruby but experience in other languages is welcome.- TDD/best practices (SOLID, design patterns, testing).- Experience deploying to production and using CI/CD pipelines.- Value a solid test suite and willing to write many tests.- Clear communication and strong listening skills; self‑motivated and organized. Technical must‑haves:- 4+ years developing backend software (Ruby, Python, JS, PHP, Java, Go, or other mainstream languages).- Code quality driven by automated testing.- Designing/using relational databases.- Creating/consuming REST APIs.- Good written/spoken English. Nice to have:- Hexagonal/Clean architecture and DDD.- Ruby/Rails.- Common AWS services (S3, EC, CloudFront, etc.).- CI experience (currently Travis).- Fintech experience.
